The colors, shapes, textures have been selected to achieve maximum happiness. I admire shock art, but life is shocking enough and it's been done. Beautiful images and happiness is what I try to achieve within the viewer of my art. I have a hard time remembering artwork titles like "Red River Valley" or "Plight of Rwanda" I also have a hard time remembering peoples names. However, I can remember the titles to my paintings if I give them regular people names then I can remember people with those names too. Thus most of my artwork is titled with common names. 90% of my work is non-representational. I find it difficult to talk about my art since it's more of a selfish experience on my part. That is I paint what makes me happy. With non-representational art it maybe easier for the viewer to talk about specific parts of each piece, but not society or a fable. I am happy when people just say, "Nice", or "this reminds me of ...my favorite sheets, table cloth, color, etc." I have thick enough skin that I won't lock myself in the bathroom and cry because someone thinks my painting looks like wrapping paper. Please email me to buy a piece. Thanks for your time.
